Salal + Cedar is a little church that worships outdoors in the lower Fraser Watershed, Coast Salish Territory. We try to deepen our spiritual connection to the land, waters, creatures and growing things of this sacred place and to help Christians and other people of spirit respond effectively and faithfully to climate change.

.

.

We run a summer camp for youth, develop nature programs for children, practice critical biblical engagement, help other churches incorporate spiritual ecology into their worship. We also do education projects, wildlife habitat restoration, anti-oppression training, solidarity with Indigenous land and water defenders, organizing and direct action. Our events are open to all bodies, all ages, all families and all genders.

.

.

We do all this with a .4 staff person and a whole lot  of love and hard work and volunteer time. We have a growing donor base and often get small grants for specific projects, but income for salary is hard to come by and we received less than anticipated from a couple of key funders this year.

We need to raise $10,000 to finish this year in the black. That money will go towards staff salary and Sacred Earth Camp program expenses.

Please help us to continue to be a catalyst for Christians acting for climate justice. Be part of the future you want to see. Even a small gift can make a big difference.
