Rock the Block is the first annual music festival and fundraiser presented by Rock to Remember, taking place on: 📅 Saturday, July 18, 2026
This exciting, full-day community event celebrates Tony’s love for music and the joy he brought to everyone around him. Live bands, food trucks, kid friendly, delicious food & drinks from The V Spot, basket raffles, 50/50 drawings, and a whole lot of fun will fill the day with unforgettable energy. The bands will be performing from the outdoor showmobile, their music will echo throughout the block and serve as the highlight of the event—which is why we chose the name “Rock the Block.” It’s a celebration that’s equal parts rock concert, community festival, and heartfelt tribute. You can expect a whole lot of dancing and fun! Since The V Spot sits right in downtown Scranton — just a short walk from where Tony grew up — attendees can literally see his childhood home from the event location. It’s a full-circle moment designed to bring together friends, family, and the local community to rock out for a cause, in the place his story began. Rock the Block is crafted to be both family-friendly and high-energy, with something for everyone — whether you grew up with Tony’s music or are discovering his legacy for the first time. What is Rock to Remember?
 | Rock to Remember is more than just a fundraiser — it’s a movement born out of love, music, and legacy. Created to honor the life and spirit of Tony Berardelli, a passionate rock-and-roll musician and beloved father, husband, and friend, Rock to Remember channels the power of music to make a real difference in people’s lives. Tony’s life was defined by music — from fronting bands to lighting up dance floors and DJing alongside family and friends. His heart beat in rhythm with every guitar chord and drumbeat, and his generous spirit made every gathering unforgettable. After Tony passed away on February 16, 2025, his family was driven to celebrate his legacy in a way that reflects who he was: loud, joyful, and deeply connected to community. Through events like Rock the Block, Rock to Remember aims to raise awareness and funds for brain tumor research, support families impacted by brain tumors, and keep the love of music thriving for future generations. Every dollar raised helps fund research, provide scholarships for students pursuing music and the arts, and support community music programs that uplift and connect people. |
