Welcome to Richmond Christian School Walk the Wall 2022!

Every year thousands of people all around the world take part in  Walk the Wall  in order to make a difference in the lives of China’s most vulnerable children. Since  Walk the Wall  began, millions of dollars have been raised enabling International China Concern (ICC) to transform the lives of children with disabilities.

What is the RCS Walk the Wall?

Richmond Christian School has been a partner with ICC for over ten years. For the last ten years, RCS has taken part in ICC events because we believe in the work that ICC does.

In order to do that, we have developed a Covid-safe plan that will enable our students to walk safely, enjoy a fun event and raise funds that will help China’s most vulnerable children.

During the week of April 25 to 29, RCS students will be walking in our individual class groups to raise funds for ICC.

You can make a difference!

• Sponsoring RCS High School students as they walk will enable us to reach our goal of raising $15,000 to support China’s most vulnerable children.

• All you have to do is click on the donate button above, enter your credit card information, and then hit submit and your donation will move us closer towards our goal of helping even more children and families receive the support they need.

• Your donation of $20, $50, $100, $200 or more, will  literally save lives.

Who is International China Concern?

Our partner, International China Concern, has been serving children with disabilities in China for 27 years. ICC works with hundreds of families that have children with disabilities, providing them with the support and services they need so that they never have to make that desperate and devastating decision to abandon their child.

In situations where children have been abandoned by their families, ICC steps in to provide family-style homes for these abandoned children. A place where they are loved and nurtured, and receive the therapy, education, medical care and vocational training that these children need in order to flourish and thrive.

Meet Bing Bing

Bing Bing is a ray of sunshine and has flourished through ICC’s love and care. Bing Bing has cerebral palsy which affects his ability to move and maintain balance and posture, but with his therapists’ help he is growing in strength and coordination. Bing Bing is a joy to be around, always celebrating others’ milestones with applause! He loves music and playing with his peers and the freedom to move in his wheelchair.

Community in Action

This year RCS High School is taking part in this event to be a ‘community in action’ to help families and children in China thrive. We want to show that we care, and that by taking action we can make a difference to children in China that are victims of stigma, prejudice, exclusion, poverty and lack of services and support.
