San Jo Lo Down (SJLD) is San Jose’s first podcast by and for San Jose’s working class people. 

We are well aware of the disparity of coverage regarding real working people. In the news and on TV we see tech billionaires speaking of innovation and progress. Around us we continually see something else.

This is where SJLD comes in.

 We are here to cover the stories, struggles, and working people culture (art, music, film, sports, night life) that actually makes San Jose what it truly is. We feel honored and excited to bring these voices to you and to reclaim what it means to be someone who work and live in San Jose. 

 As of now SJLD is a completely self-funded project that is powered only by fluorescent lights and spite. In the future we hope to compensate each of our working members fairly and this is where you come in.

 Any contribution to our project goes directly to compensating our host and editors for their time or is reinvested into equipment or the maintenance of services that keep our podcast live!
