Project Access is a program of Central Plains Health Care Partnership created to provide access to health care for low-income, uninsured individuals in Sedgwick County. It brings together doctors, hospitals, community clinics, and other partners to improve the health and well-being of the people of Sedgwick County. Since 1999, Project Access has coordinated nearly $211 million dollars in donated health care to more than 13,800 low-income individuals without access to health insurance or a government-sponsored program.
Project Access and its community partners serve patients in many locations. Eligible uninsured patients are enrolled for limited periods of time to address immediate medical needs. Once enrolled, patients have access to a variety of specialists, as well as prescription medication, durable medical equipment and diabetic supplies.
