MOONACRE is a small, not for profit, registered sanctuary for animals with disabilities, terminal illness, old age, and animals without rescue options. Our specialism in orthopaedics and neurology means that we fund surgeries and procedures which provide mobility solutions to animals thought to be permanently disabled. We provide much more than post operative nursing and physical therapy - we provide a cage free, farm environment, and a loving home staffed by our family, and a team of volunteers. 

MOONACRE is an unique place. We encourage people to visit us, to see our work with disadvantaged animals for themselves. We are dedicated to providing the best possible care, and the best possible solutions for animals thought to be without hope. Many of our dogs find new homes after going through life changing surgeries and physical therapy. Our horses are rehabilitated to live in a herd, with freedom and space to graze and run. MOONACRE is a happy place, a safe place. a true sanctuary.
