Rethinking Heroes was launched on the famed public radio station KPFK 90.7 FM, Los Angeles. This program is hosted by the greatly respected Cary Harrison. What is that all about, what is the show’s intention? In a few words:
The vision : to help bring about a world in which our veteran community is relieved of at least two serious ills: a suicide rate averaging 44 per day and for all too many the weight of unpayable medical debt collectively owed through the VA that is reputed to be as much as $6 billion dollars!
The mission : to search out military as well as civilian individuals and organizations who are meeting this challenge by creating and fielding powerful remedies and then see to it that they get the public awareness that they deserve and need. Searchlight/Spotlight/Ignite.
The purpose : by way of a national campaign called Veteran Mission Possible ( VMP ) to bring sufficient public awareness and understanding of these two problems. How could this not but motivate the VA system to make its billions in medical debt available for full and complete forgiveness? It could happen if the VA takes the time to investigate, vet and then employ the unique remedies created by our spotlighted solution providers. In other words - the yet unheralded heroes among us.
