About Hollyhock

Hollyhock is a not-for-profit educational institute dedicated to personal, professional and cultural development towards a better future. Our mission is to inspire, nourish, and support people who are making the world better.

Our campus rests in the traditional territories of the Klahoose, Tla’amin, Homalco Nations; on what is currently called Cortes Island. Before us, it transitioned from a place of gathering, to a pioneering homestead, to the site of an important human potential education centre. It is on this foundation that Hollyhock’s founders, consisting of Greenpeace founders and early Humanistic Psychology leaders, dreamed of creating a lifelong learning centre. We opened our doors in 1982, and have since grown to be Canada's leading holistic centre.

Each year we offer 90+ programs and conferences to help you connect to yourself, nature, and community. Our programs range from Wisdom Teachings to Wellness and Creativity to Social Innovation and Leadership. We also run programs in Vancouver, BC and conferences across North America.
