We Are Bridazul

We are bridazul, we are based in Ocotal, Nicaragua and we love to build relationships between coffee producers and coffee buyers. We started doing so during the political unrest of 2018, which caused banks to stop giving credits and producers literally started knocking on our door to ask for help in getting a fairer price for their coffee.

We took on the producers' challenge of getting a fairer price for their coffee and made it into a bigger one: future proofing their farms for a future without coffee as by 2050 climate change will make it nearly impossible for farms to grow coffee here.

  • Phase one: make the farms self-sufficient, which the 'bridazul fund' is a part of.
  • Phase two: focus on improvements in environment/soil and farmworkers inclusion.
  • Phase three: gradually convert the coffee farm into another purpose based on built up economic, environmental and human capital.

We grew bridazul in that mindset and we are now working together in a well-knit team of 10.

We process coffee, dry coffee, classify coffee according to quality, build and maintain relationships between producers and buyers, prepare coffee for export and we export coffee, but we do not buy coffee.

Every $1 helps a coffee producer get a fairer price for 1lb of coffee, forever

Every $1 you contribute helps a coffee producer around Dipilto, Nicaragua get a fairer price for 1lb of coffee, forever. That $1 liberates them from the chains of the local market so they can export that 1lb of coffee, the start of being self-sufficient
