T&L Quarter Horses owned by Tom and Leslie Lange was deeply affected. They, and their staff, risked life and limb to save over 40 horses from drowning in water so high that boats were needed to reach them. Now Tom, Leslie, Jeff Burley, Nick Suft, Sarah Puerner and Kelly O’Connell have all lost their homes and belongings on the farm and the barns, tack, equipment, and entire facility is submerged under water. There is no telling how long it will be until humans or horses can return. As floods are rare in Colorado no one carries flood insurance. They need your help now to begin rebuilding.
Another campaign, set up for locals of Boulder, accounts the first-hand stories of damage and distress for both people, property and animals. “Fridges have burst through interior walls, pets have been found inside condo’s floating on matresses and students and families have lost belongings and loved ones.” They are raising money for the Red Cross and you can help.
You can help those affected by the flooding in Colorado and other disasters by donating, or starting a campaign for someone in need, using FundRazr.
