Heritage Education Funds Launches RESP eGifting Program Using Crowdfunding

Crowdfunding Advisors, FundRazr Team

Helping our community get to the next level of crowdfunding success

New Heritage eGifting Program, powered by FundRazr, allows family and friends anywhere to contribute funds towards a child’s Heritage RESP for their post-secondary education.

We are very excited to announce that our partners at Heritage Education Funds Inc., a leading Canadian trusted and experienced provider of Registered Education Savings Plans has launched the Heritage eGifting Program. This program is a unique, convenient, and simple solution, exclusive to their Subscribers, allowing them to electronically collect funds towards a child’s RESP harnessing the power of crowdfunding with FundRazr.

In launching this program, Heritage recognized the need parents have in terms of saving enough money, while at the same time looking towards their family, friends and those in the community who could also help raise funds, particularly for special occasions and life milestones – everything from Christmas to Bar/Bat Mitzvahs and birthdays to Chinese New Year – where many prefer to give the child money.

The Heritage eGifting Program is an online fundraising campaign that can easily be shared with family and friends who can contribute funds towards a child’s RESP for milestone events, and special occasions. In this day and age, people are accustomed to online banking and efficient digital solutions, so why not for your education savings plan? The team at Heritage believe that the process of giving the gift of an education shouldn’t be cumbersome, and we couldn’t agree more.

“With this technology and the ease of use I know that digital solutions are one thing that makes our lives a little easier” says Heritage Education Funds president and CEO Jason Maguire, “We’re the first organization in Canada that is bringing this level of service to the financial services industry and everyone who uses it will see the great value in investing into those solutions and in making a difference in a child’s life.”

We couldn’t be prouder to power this unique and first-to-market Heritage eGifting Program. Heritage recognized us as the ideal solution for their RESP Subscribers, a platform full of easy-to-use tools to assist Subscribers in sharing special occasions in which funds may be raised towards their Heritage RESPs.

“We are thrilled to see Heritage offer this groundbreaking new application of FundRazr’s CoCoPay (Collaborative Community Payments) crowdfunding model to their community of parents and subscribers,” says FundRazr CEO, Daryl Hatton. “For the first time, and just in time for the holidays, friends and relatives will be able to safely and securely contribute a financial gift, to be directly contributed towards a Heritage RESP.”

Heritage has always been a digital pioneer in the RESP industry; they were first to release a digital application process called RESPxpress®. Other organizations have talked about introducing a crowdfunding solution for RESPs, but again, Heritage is first to launch this fantastic solution to the market. It’s the kind of innovation that motivates us here at FundRazr and makes this collaboration so special.

Most parents would agree that there are only so many toys one child and household can hold. So, offering your friends and family the opportunity to contribute to a child’s future this holiday season is a meaningful and easy solution.
