Tika's Soldier Savior says:

Tika and her brother Tiger were rescued by myself and my teammates, and brought to live on our camp. When we found them they were very sick and malnourished.
Unfortunately, we were unable to save Tiger, and he succumbed to his illness.
When Tiger died, we made the decision to bring Tika inside where we could better care for her and monitor her condition. The first few nights were a little scary and I was not sure she was going to make it.
Our medic tirelessly continued to give Tika IV fluids until she regained her strength, and we nursed her back to full health.
Since then, she has been my constant companion. Her personality, joy, and energy have made all of our lives better. I can not imagine her not being in my life.

In the US, Tika's brothers are patiently awaiting her arrival. Rusty is an 11 year Jack Russell Terrier who has been by my side since he was a puppy.
Gitu is a three year old former stray I rescued from Irbil, Iraq.
Tika will enjoy a big back yard with lots of room to run, and a family of adoring humans.

Donations via check can be mailed to:

Please include the animal that you would like to donate to in your mailing.

If, for whatever reason, the companion animal rescue is not successful (such as disease or injury) then at the discretion of Nowzad Dogs, the funds collected via this Fundrazr page will be allocated to support the vital daily operational costs of the Nowzad Dogs small animal clinic and shelter in Kabul

The total required for a companion animal to travel to North America is usually a minimum of $5000 for a dog and at least $3000 for a cat (we make no profit and everything is subject to currency valuations and fuel prices on the day). We are sadly unable to offer refunds on donations.
