Our Story

Nove Voce is Northern B.C.'s premier women's choir! We just won second place in our class at the National Music Festival, coming off our BC's Best Overall Choir last year at the Provincial Music Festival.

This group is made up of amazingly talented women of various ages, and we are now working on Nove Voce's 15th season in 2018/2019.

Our choir is professional in quality, but we are not professional singers by trade. We all have school, work, and families to balance, and yet still make this choir a priority. For years - and we mean years - we've dreamt of going abroad to a larger international competition to represent Canada and our small town, Prince George, B.C. In the early 2000s we planned for Italy, it fell through due to cost. In mid 2000s we tried China, it fell through due to cost. Now that our choir has grown to over 25 women, we feel this is the time to make it happen!

We have BEEN ACCEPTED to the European Choir Games in Gothenburg, Sweden!

So...many of our members are university and college students, or just starting out in their careers, and a large international trip can be very difficult to afford (and let's be honest, it is Sweden so it's already a bit expensive). We can get discounts through our larger booking, but we are still estimating a cost of $4,000 per person. We are asking for your help to cover the costs of travel so that we can bring the cost per person down substantially. If we can raise $20,000 we could get the cost down to $2,500 per person. 

We've got snazzy new choir dresses, some awesome rep, and are ready to get on the plane, we just need help buying the tickets!
