- Your support allowed us to fund a part-time Digital Strategist/Social Media Editor, who has been instrumental in attracting over 220,000 website visitors last year alone, a testament to NiCHE’s indispensable role as a global hub for environmental history.
- You enabled NiCHE to offer honoraria to writers in precarious positions, ensuring that a diverse range of voices continues to enrich our daily blog.
- You invested in the next generation of environmental history by providing travel stipends for graduate students to participate in events like the Canadian History and Environment Summer School (CHESS), directly shaping the future of the field.
Our 2025 Goal: Sustaining and Strengthening Our Impact ($16,000)
This year, we're not just aiming to sustain our work, we’re aiming to strengthen the core of what we do. Our goal of $16,000 will achieve two critical things:
- Retain Our Digital Strategist: It will allow us to retain our incredible Digital Strategist/Social Media Editor, a professional who currently volunteers countless hours beyond their paid role.
- Guarantee Essential Operations: It will cover our vital hosting fees and allow us to continue providing honoraria and student stipends for the year ahead.
NiCHE is a non-profit organization. Every dollar goes directly into our mission, not overhead.
