Leslie Darnell hasn't added a story.
Happy Loving Earthling Day Earthling Friends wherever you may be! February 14th 2018.
My illegal eviction in Surrey BC occurred on February 2nd, Friday, so was not able to seek assistance until Monday. Every government agency says they can't help as the bailiff took the $1350 I had offered the landlord to pay for February's rent. Still without housing and it is February 14th, 2018.
I am a 59 year old woman, who had beloved pets - dog named Chocolate, cat named Caramel and her two kittens. I was promised no harm would come to them but when I went to check on the pets the management had removed them and refuse to tell me where they were sent.
While I am looking for them, I have been advised by the RCMP police of Surrey that this is now a civil suit and I must seek a lawyer to sue for damages for loss of all possessions of a 2 bedroom suite, but most importantly, my missing treasured dog and cat. The doctor's letters for my dog and status of Person with Disability are being ignored by the BC government here.
In the long run this is a Human Rights violation.
Meanwhile, just when I was getting on my feet again after the tragic loss of my sister in Montreal, my government kicks me to the curb.
I am dedicated to make changes here through the legal system, courts and elected Members of Parliament to change the 2-day legislated Order of Possession / @ eviction order that is putting persons with disabilities on the street to fend for themselves when they have a human right to rest, rehabilitate and recover their health without such terrorist tactics from landlords and governments.
If any concerned and caring friends care about my plight which is obviously going to continue for some time as the legal process continues, I would appreciate any and all financial help to recover my possessions, home and dear furry loved ones.
What is the world coming to when freedom of speech in a residential hearing is ignored with a resulting 2-day legislated eviction order, causing women to be tossed out on the street, their possessions then robbed by the desperate poor in the neighborhood, and every which way we turn we are being told that no one can help until I am homeless, possession-less, pet-less, with the government support for housing/ rent in BC being only $375.00 per month, and absolutely no housing available at that rate for years now!! The rents in Vancouver/ Surrey area are now over $900 to $1000 per month for rent. A room only is $700 on average. We are not allowed to move out of our area to find housing in the country side for example. People are being forced to use their food money for rent in BC...starving anyone who doesn't stand in a food line-up!
Other provinces that give full rental support for their residents who are in crisis due to unemployed situation in recession times, or for Persons with Disabilities such as Alberta, Saskatchewan and Yukon that I know of. Here in BC there is government which is now negligent in caring for their elders, seniors, veterans, persons with disabilities. I will begin the good fight to make changes so that this does not happen to me again. After going through this situation more than once as a person who has chronic health issues, I now have evidence that BC is a dangerous place to live for this category of people.
Any donations that can help me recover my life and save the lives of my beloved pets would be so appreciated by myself and them.
May you all be blessed and live a life of luck and abundance and love!
Thank you human and animal lovers.
My photo looks happy as this is how I looked before government entered my life to ruin it time and time again. Trouble with my phone and cannot upload photos of evidence of my possessions being stolen, nor no one to take photos / videos of me crying my eyes out over loss of my loved ones.
I pray for the return of my fur babies and hope this is how I will look again, although a few years older.
My vision and goal in the future after this crisis is all behind me, would be to have an animal rescue non-profit acreage / ranch, as less and less suites that are pet friendly exist, causing more and more pet surrenders to SPCA. I vowed that my pets had a forever-owner with me and I will do everything in my power to regain custody of them.
My friends tell me to focus on myself and my housing now that everything is gone, so that is now all I have left to focus on.
Thank you for all of your prayers and blessings.
