Swaziland, in 1986 the first cases of AIDS were reported in the country. The virus has spread at an alarming rate and now Swaziland has the highest HIV prevalence with over 250,000 orphans. Help us to provide a sustainable foundation for the children.

In 2010 I was called to Swaziland and witness the devastating condition that is still to this day being left in the wake of the HIV / AIDS pandemic. There are over 250,000 children who's parents have perished due to AIDS. The need for food, drinkable water, clothing, education, LOVE and HOPE is great in Swaziland. Swaziland is the #1 most AIDS affected country in the world per capita. We have partnered with the Word Community Church in Big Bend at a care point overseen by Pastor Vusi Nhleko, his wife Nombuso and their two children. To date, a new pre school/meeting/church building has been built however still needs finishing: Pews, windows, plaster and paint. There's a well on site but the pump is failing to deliver water at a rate that is needed to hydrate the children. A new solar powered water pump is needed. Solar power at the new building, two orphan homes and the Pastor's residence is needed. The 9 boys and 9 girls who live in the orphan homes are in desperate need of food and basic toiletry needs. The need for kitchen is great as is the need for proper restrooms. All that is just to provide a firm foundation for the children to grow from. Then the work begins in providing a way to educate, mentor and share trade knowledge for sustainability. I will be leading a team to Swaziland Sept 23rd through October 4th. This will be my 11th time there and my 3rd time providing at the care point. I'm hopeful and so thankful for all that can contribute to this loving effort for the children and community.
