It's here everyone! An opportunity to do a favour for a wonderful person who would be (and likely has been) excited to do a favour for you!

My name is Eyvan, and I am making this campaign to raise money for my friend Kian to fund his recovery after top surgery. While the surgery date is not yet set, he could be called in to fill a cancellation spot as soon as October. Given that top surgery recovery requires taking 4-6 weeks off of work, Kian will need his expenses covered for this time. Kian works as a server in a restaurant, and which requires him to lift objects, move his arms, and do basically everything on the list of things that are not advisable or permitted after top surgery.

For those of you that don't know Kian, he is, among many things, a driven activist and community organizer that offers huge amounts of energy and time to community projects, both as a creator and as a supporter and participant. Kian has been an organizer for projects including (but not limited to): Old Dogwood Society for Arts and Ecology, Tiny Tiny Cozy Fest, Mayne Island Karate, Surrey Youth Space, and The Purple Thistle. His devotion to community support and progress are evident to any and all who get to meet him. As any of his friends can tell you, Kian's ability to come up with ideas to better the world and his enthusiastic commitment to helping all people learn to live in a less toxic world are extremely rare, and make him a very special person.

I am here to ask you, oh wider community, to pitch whatever you can to a person who will most certainly pay it forward.

**What the money is for:**

For those interested, the $2500 goal would be inclusive of all of Kian's expenses for the month (which he would be missing out on by not working) plus some expenses specific to surgery recovery including (but not limited to): transportation, medicine, and some specific items such as a surgical compression vest and things that make it easier to not move your arms for the better part of two months.

Thank you all for reading, please do let me know if you have any questions.
