Britney Clausen hasn't added a story.
On September 27th, three weeks before Aubrey's 2nd birthday her
parents were told the shocking news of why their daughter was so
sick...she had cancer. Aubrey was taken to the University of Iowa
Children's Hospital and was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic
Leukemia (ALL) B-Cell type. She is considered standard risk. She
stayed in the hospital for almost two weeks and was finally able to go
home four days before her 2nd birthday. Aubrey's parents, Trisha and
Tony, were by her side the whole time. Now that they are home, in
Waterloo, Trisha continues to stay home with Aubrey while Tony has
gone back to work. Trisha has taken a leave from her job as an
Assistant Direct at a daycare. Trisha drives Aubrey to Iowa City for
chemotherapy, check-ups, and blood work.
Many of you have offered to help in any way possible and I am asking
you to consider giving whatever money you can to support Trisha, Tony
and Aubrey during this very difficult time. These funds will go
directly toward medical expenses, travel cost, living expenses, and
the many other expenses not covered by their healthcare. With the
generous financial support of family and friends, Trisha and Tony can
focus on getting Aubrey back to her spunky healthy self and not worry
about how to cover the cost of her treatment and care. While your
financial support would be greatly appreciated, please don’t feel
obligated to contribute if this is beyond your means.
On behalf of Tony, Trisha and Aubrey, I would like to thank you in
advance for your love and support.
