This year, our school shared a short video (see above) that unexpectedly went viral.
Viewed by over two million people across the world, the message resonated because it was so simple — and so universal. It reminded our children that the way they behave reflects not only on themselves, but on their families, their school, the Jewish community, and ultimately on Hashem.

At Mercaz Academy, this is not just a message — it is our mission.
Of course, Mercaz educates students with high standards of academic excellence, in Judaic and general studies. A central pillar of this education is that, every day, we teach our students that learning is not measured only in grades or test scores, but in how they treat others. We emphasize kindness, empathy, and derech eretz: speaking respectfully, acting thoughtfully, and valuing every person they encounter.

We teach our children to treat everyone the way we would want to be treated.
From the classroom to the playground to the supermarket, our students learn that their actions matter. They learn to pause before speaking, to offer help before being asked, and to stand up for what is right. These lessons last far beyond their years at Mercaz Academy — they shape who they will become as adults, as neighbors, and as leaders.

We also teach our students to be proud Jews, confident in their identity and rooted in their heritage.
In a world that can sometimes feel complicated for Jewish children, Mercaz Academy gives them a foundation of strength, pride, and connection. They learn that Kiddush Hashem — sanctifying Hashem’s name through good deeds — is not an abstract idea, but a daily responsibility and privilege.

But we cannot do this alone.
To continue providing this level of education — academic, moral, and spiritual — we rely on the generosity of our community. Your support ensures that every child who walks through our doors receives not only a strong education, but the guidance to grow into a mensch: a person of integrity, compassion, and Jewish pride.   And our doors are open to families from 21 Jewish communities across central Long Island, from a broad spectrum of Jewish affiliation, many of whom have transferred children from public school to join the Mercaz Academy community.  Importantly, Our financial assistance program allows those in need to join our family of families.
