Rick Flori hasn't added a story.
A former Police Officer served the community for almost 28 years around the Gold Coast Queensland in Australia. During his career he took a stand on the abuse of powers by the police and reported misconduct when it arose. This includes instances of excessive use of force, drink driver of a Superintendent, An indictable offence committed by a Deputy Commissioner, a death involving a police chase, contrary to junior officer action, where his decision making was commended by New South Wales State Coroner Jacqueline Mileage. In fulfilling his duty and dedication to the community he instructed and guided his subordinates to conduct themselves in a proper and professional manner.
In 2012 a video was exposed clearing showing police assaulted an innocent man in the basement of the Surfers Paradise Police Station. Police have relentlessly pursued Rick who has had no support from any relevant government authority.
2012 - 2015 Rick suffered bullying, harassment and reprisals by officers within the Queensland Police Service of the rank of Constable up to Deputy Commissioner. He pursued these officers in various courts at his own expense not to mention the associated stress to both he and his family. These actions triggered his suspension from his work without pay. Irrespective Rick has continued to fight the good fight. He further set a world wide precedent in the Supreme Court of Queensland stopping the Police from unlawfully using information for purposes other for which it was obtain. The Police had been committing this act years without challenge. This precedent has been used in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, New Zealand and the remaining stated in Australia.
Rick is seeking financial assistance for he and his family for the sacrifice he has given to the greater community. He is also seeking the assistance to obtain proper legal advice for further legal action. He is looking at writing a tell all book containing all the details that are yet to be made public including: constable sent to the Police headquarters to shred documents during the Fitzgerald Inquiry, workplace bullying and harassment, reports of misconduct during his service.
