When the urgent medical release went out, we had to do a double take as from the front, the little boy we have named Tater looked just fine.  The front view of him hid the fact that his system was a ticking time bomb that would kill him even if he somehow managed to escape the shelter. Tater has a set of conditions that we have never seen....

The View “from behind” clearly shows that something is very, very wrong with Tater and the huge mass on his bottom (and there is no way to say this without being horribly graphic...) is a hernia filled with poo. Literally Tater had a hernia so severe it was getting filled with poo that could not leave his body trough the “normal route”.

Neither of Tater’s options were life sustaining, so we placed our hold, transport was organized and Dr Peress at LeadER was alerted that we were incoming with a life threatening, poo filled hernia.

Dr Peress and his team were ready to examine little Tater and went immediately to surgery as there wasn’t a moment to spare with all of that in Tater’s system.

We will have an update later this evening on the surgery and in the mean time, we are asking your help to provide him the care that he needs.

As always, every dollar counts toward the funding finish line and even if you are not able to donate, your comment alone helps Tater’s story he seen by more people!

Tater sends his love and thanks for giving him his 2nd chance!!!!
