ESA  seeks to “make the invisible, visible”, by providing education and information about the human health and environmental risks related to exposure to non-ionizing radiation, also known as electromagnetic fields (EMF). ESA was founded in 2009 and is a United States nonprofit corporation domiciled in Arizona that is qualified as exempt from federal income tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended. ESA is also under fiscal sponsorship of TAP-AZ (The Technical Assistance Project of Arizona).
