We have had countless hours of entertainment at his expense over the years… I mean, just the other day I asked him if he thought he REALLY knew what color his hair is. I mean, how funny would it be if he could see his flaming orange mane in the same way we do only to discover that his sister was right when she told him “orange is the ugliest color of the rainbow”?

In all seriousness, Curt has been talking about these glasses for a few years now, and for some reason even more so recently. Obviously these crazy eyeball miracles are too pricy for our budget alone, but if it were a team effort we could easily make this happen in to for Curt to celebrate a very colorful 45th birthday.

Plans for his surprise party are in the works and its outcome depends heavily upon this gift of color-sight. I mean… if he doesn’t get the glasses all the colorful clothing and decorations will literally be lost on him. Let’s give the gift of color to one of the most colorful guys we know!

Over 300 million people worldwide are affected by red-green color vision deficiency, also called color blindness. Enchroma has created glasses which enhance color vision without the compromise of color accuracy.

Enchroma glasses are an optical assistive device; they are not a cure for color blindness. Results vary depending on the type and extent of color vision deficiency per individual. The glasses are estimated to be effective for 4 out of 5 cases (80%) of red-green color vision deficiency – prospective users are encouraged to take our online color vision test to assess the likelihood of efficacy. Enchroma does not endorse use of the glasses to pass occupational screening tests such as the Ishihara test. For more information please read the FAQs , learn about the Enchroma technology and story , or contact customer support .
