The Little Rescue is a small non profit organisation run entirely by volunteers, rehoming both cats and dogs from the UK and Europe, primarily Romania.

Formally known as DDDR, since April 2013 we have homed over 280 dogs into UK families. Our aim is to find loving homes for our animals where they will remain for the rest of their lives.

The dogs are fostered in our own homes until we find them new forever homes.
Whilst in our care the dogs are treated as part of the family and we show them new things that they may not have experienced before, like car rides, meeting cats, children and discovering other dogs.
We make sure they are healthy happy animals when they are adopted.

There are many ways which you can help... For anyone already supporting us THANK YOU, your generosity enables us to continue supporting the shelters and allowing our dogs to get the second chance they so deserve.

Fostering - There are many reasons our dogs end up needing foster care. As we don't have kennels we reply heavily on our fantastic group of foster families. It is hard to predict how long a dog will be in foster, but our aim is to get them into their Forever homes as soon as we can.
Although this is sometimes a very sad experience, it is also a very rewarding experience.

Homecheckers - If you feel you could homecheck potential adopters in your local area, please do get in touch.

Fundraising - We are always looking for new members to join our group of 'Little Helpers'. If you have a spare couple of hours a week you can get involved by emailing us or joining our Facebook page. You can help by spreading the work we do, running auctions the list is endless.

Giving a home to a rescue dog can be an immensely rewarding experience as long as you are prepared to put in extra work if it is needed.

An adoption fee and homecheck are required for all of our animals. To request a homecheck, please complete the form on our contact page.

You can reserve a dog for a £100 deposit, the full adoption fee is £225. This is only refunded if you fail your homecheck. The remaining balance is required before you take your new family member home or the dog travels to the UK.

For Romanian dogs, each will arrive vaccinated, neutered (depending on age) and microchipped. They will also have their very own EU passports and will have been vet checked.

Please note that we will not rehome to anyone under the age of 18.

With your donations, we will be able to pay for more transports and rescue more animals.
