Decide.sbs is a bilingual content curation website (in English and in Spanish), dedicated to helping users make informed and life-defining decisions in key areas such as family, health, work, and global issues.
The website is built on the belief that the world is at a point where we must choose to overcome divisions and unite, and direct technology's efforts to benefit all.
The goal of this fundraising campaign is:
- to improve and expand the website by making it faster, easier and more fun to use,
- improving content availability in all areas covered,
- expanding the website's original guides to selected content in key areas of need,
- focusing on need and practicality, and
- adding a “plus” level that will allow paid subscribers to rate, comment, and share curated articles.
Decide.sbs
Decide.sbs aims to be a one-stop destination for users to quickly find and access the information they need to make the best decisions for their lives.
The creator of Decide.sbs , a graduate of Stanford University with three successful US technology patents ( click here for an independent reference ), believes that the Internet has the potential to help us make the right life-defining decisions and to help us get closer to universal education, and transparency to stop abuse worldwide.
Also, Decide.sbs has a section titled “ letters to my children ” which allows parents to share their life decision-making advice with their children when they need them and their parents will probably be no longer around. Decide.sbs empowers users to make the best decisions for their lives .
Decide.sbs’ information will always be accessible to everybody, but a “plus” level will be added for paid subscribers that will allow them to rate and comment on curated articles, and to either make their ratings public (for everyone to see and benefit from) or share everything privately, for example, with their children. Decide.sbs helps build a community where users can share their experiences and learn from each other.
Additionally, Decide.sbs will expand its sections about specific countries and demographics. Its first one will be Guatemala, sharing updated information on the country and what local and international institutions are already doing to help the country, plus a catalog with some new project ideas and plans to propose to those institutions. Decide.sbs will act responsibly as an active member of the communities it serves.
Decide.sbs does not contain advertising as of today, but it will soon have some advertising, to make it better. Paid subscribers will not see any ads. Decide.sbs will be financially sustainable.

A painful experience we have all gone through is losing a loved one. It's even harder if we feel we could have done more for that person! I lost my mother to cancer. She passed away rather young.

And millions and millions of which we don't know their names. And then, our loved ones...
Among the leading causes of death in the U.S., for example, heart disease is #1, with just over 600,000 deaths per year. However, most of the victims are older than 75 years old. However, with cancer, the number of deaths per year is similar, about 600,000, but the victims are much younger, on average.

Luis von Ahn - Awarded the $500,000 Lemelson-MIT Prize in September 2018, as a distinguished inventor. Luis is Guatemalan, a professor at Carnegie Mellon, the inventor of CAPTCHA, and the founder of Duolingo.

Marlyn Yahaira (her last name is Tubac), is now twelve years
old and has played the piano in public since she was seven.
She has even played along Guatemala's Symphony Orchestra.However, we see the titles of current and older leading newspapers in Guatemala, such as La Hora, March 25, 2017: "Guatemala, a country in which children and young people have not been the first priority. Experts show that without change, the future is not encouraging."
Facts in that article include 2.5 million children that were excluded from education in Guatemala. Almost 7 out of 10 children under 18 years of age living in poor homes, according to the Institute of Statistics, INE. And, 70.2% of children under 10 years of age living in poverty.
Malnutrition, abuse, and lack of education. How should "the markets" or "other institutions" serve those children who are most in need in a country like Guatemala, or how can we all help.
