Systematic rape and sexual violence and kidnapping of children by youth militias have been widely adopted as war tactics in the DRC's recent civil war and aftermath.

Gracias Foundation Vice President and Co-Founder, Elayne Doughty MFT, works with local trainers to help heal traumas endured by brave young survivors - empowering locals working at the grassroots level to heal their own communities.

Support Elayne's work in the DRC with rape survivors and former child soldiers. Provide a base of support for other community empowerment projects benefiting these women and children.

~$50 pays for 1 survivor to receive trauma healing tools from a local caretaker.

100% of donations will go to project costs. We will cover the administrative and bank fees.

Note: Amounts raised in excess of the final cost, or which do not meet a minimum necessary to move forward with the project, may be reallocated to a similar project, based on where the funds are needed most. None will be used for internal administrative costs.
