Resonance
Our mission is to build a platform that empowers and amplifies creativity in architecture, sound, and art. By blending parametric architecture with interactive, immersive designs, we aim to inspire creative expression while fostering playfulness, restoration, and healing.
Resonance is a large-scale immersive art installation made of bamboo, honoring the conch shell. Designed with precise modeling to mirror the organic geometry of the Fibonacci sequence, it fosters a unique, interactive experience that will visit Black Rock City before being permantly constructed as an imersive art, music, and movement space.
We need your help to bring Resonance to life!
Resonance did not receive the 75 K art grant from the
Burning Man organization, which was going to go a long way to
helping us bring the build to the playa this year. The only give
one of these large grants per year, and while this was an initial
disappointment, we’re finding many bright spots within this
outcome as we take this time to refine, expand, and improve the design.
We are continuing to fundraise throughout the year
and plan to reapply for the Burning Man art grant in 2026. I
n the meantime, we plan to build a scaled version of
Resonance to bring to the playa in 2025, and continue to develop the piece.
We have received serious inquiries from retreat venues
in Bali, Hawaii, and in Nicaragua all wanted to provide Resonance a
permant home.

More About the Project
We envision a world where architecture ignites imagination,
transcends boundaries, and draws upon nature’s wisdom to create
transformative experiences that unite people and build vibrant
communities through meaningful expressions of sound, music, and movement.
At the heart of Resonance (36'H x 36'D) stands a robust hyperbolic bamboo tower, fully climbable and crowned with a 360° observation platform that offers expansive views and a sense of elevation. This central structure is connected to the outer shell by bamboo poles, semi-structural bamboo splits, and cargo nets woven in spiraling patterns that follow the Fibonacci sequence.
The conch symbolizes the intrinsic power of deep listening, inviting personal and collective healing through its spiraling form, which reflects our journeys of transformation and renewed perspectives. Within its architecture and reverberating sounds, it beckons us to embrace curiosity, connection, and the vibratory wisdom that guides us back to our inner home, ancestral roots, and infinite creativity.
Resonance amplifies marginalized voices, fostering cultural connection through sound. A curated collection of soundscapes and audio recordings by BIPOC and LGBTQ+ creators will fill the space, enriched by participants engaging with interactive instruments throughout. Through shared moments of creativity and exploration, we honor the diverse voices and vibrations that unite us all.
