Meet Viata of Romania~

" Recently on base we had discovered multiple litters of puppies spread in various spots. I heard that other  stray dogs had taken lives of some of the puppies and others were just disappearing. This made me  want to go out and possibly attempt to rescue a few to at least get them somewhere safe. We were driving through searching a very closed off and separated area of the base we came across 2 recently deceased puppies hidden next to some pallets. Though there was one single live puppy all by herself camped out right next to dead siblings lost and unknowing what to do. She was a little furball but you could tell passed the fur she was very skinny and frail. I immediately made the decision to take her back to our station and nurse her back to health as best as I could. Prior to finding her I only had intentions of helping the puppies if we had found any, not realizing that adoption would be an option but after I saw what she had dealt with and not even a couple hours of petting and loving her I knew she was my one and I HAD to find a way to get her home with me. I was attached immediately, she is very sweet and playful, a VERY smart puppy also. She follows me around everywhere and I can't imagine going on home knowing I left her like she had been left before by her mother and siblings. The next day I decided on the name "Viata" or V for short meaning "life" in Romanian. This because she gave me life as I promise to give her the best life she could have. Im one who believes everything happens for a reason and I fully believe she was put in my life as I was put in hers.. to stay."
