Support the SF Basque Cultural Center!

The non-profit Center has been an invaluable part of the San Francisco Bay Area for nearly 40 years. Founded by immigrants who left the Basque Country to pursue the American Dream, the Center has been the hub of the community, helping to preserve the Basque language and culture through education and events:

  • Annual festivals, traditional dance and language classes, movie nights exhibiting Basque films and directors, lectures from Basque authors and politicians, and concerts by Basque musicians, are just some of the many events offered at the Center.
  • The Center’s full-size indoor handball court hosts amateur and professional athletic competitions for “pilota,” “pala,” and other games for players from Europe and across the Americas.
  • The facility’s ballroom has hosted weddings and other celebrations for generations of people from all backgrounds in our Bay Area community.

Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic has severely impacted the Center. The non-profit’s main source of funding - the on-site restaurant serving authentic French and Spanish Basque cuisine - has been hampered by pandemic-related closures and limitations.

Please consider making a donation TODAY, to help our beloved "Euskal Etxea" (Basque House) navigate these difficult times. Even a small contribution will help.

 Thank you!
