85 Weeks running

A careless driver hit and mangled the front paw of one of Bulgaria’s many stray dogs. A kind soul brought him to one of the few sanctuaries for injured, abused and abandoned animals in Bulgaria that has taken him in. They named him Simba, wishing him a lion strength.

Simba will require surgery and hospital care for about six weeks to repair his paw. He has two fingers with a complicated break and bones sticking out. One they will most likely be able to fix and the other one may need to be removed. If everything works out as planed he will be able to walk just fine again. Simba is getting a very good rest in a safe environment after being a street dog all his life. They are guessing he is about 6 years old. His tolerance for pain seems to be very high, since he is being a pretty happy dog despite his injury.

The cost of his treatment will include three weeks spent in the hospital prior the surgery (to insure that the infection has cleared), the surgery and three weeks of hospital stay after the procedure. The sanctuary is financing some of this out of their own modest budget, but they need help considering this is a very lengthy hospital treatment. They need to raise $2000 for Simba. I have personally witnessed their great work and how many dogs were lucky to be helped by them. I have also helped as much as I can through out the years. If you are able to participate in this fundraiser and want to help Simba, please consider donating. No amount is too small and it will definitely make a difference. Thank you so much.
