We have all been hearbroken watching the plight of both humans and animals in the wake of Hurricane Harvey and commend all those groups, both national and local who have stepped up to help save, reunite and evacuate so many who could not fend for themselves in the face of the storm.

DRSF is on board to do what we can to help those helping on the front lines, and so in Partnership with Justin Bartlett, welcomed two dogs late this afternoon from Corpus Christi Texas.

Members of the DRSF team where there to meet the transport when it pulled in from Texas today where Hart and Hawkeye put their paws on Florida ground for the first time.  They got a chance to catch their breath and stretch their legs and then were headed South from West Palm to our never tireless partners at LeadER Animal Specialty Hospital who welcomed them with open arms, a checkup, some good food and more hugs, and a safe place to stay until tomorrow.

Will you help us help these two sweethearts who would not have had a chance without Justin Bartlett and DRSF?  As always, every dollar counts toward the funding finish line and even if you are not able to donate, we still invite you to leave a comment which will help more people see their story as well!!
