WHAT IS CRPS?
Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) is a chronic nerve pain where there is often a nerve injury but it has gone undiagnosed due to either the clinicians’ lack of understanding about peripheral nerve anatomy or due to the complexity of the peripheral nerve injuries that follows soft-tissue or bone injury diagnosed (type I) or undiagnosed peripheral nerve injury or (type II) which is also ‘neuropathic’ pain but in this case the nerve injury has been identified. Other manifestations include autonomic changes (eg. sweating, vasomotor abnormalities), motor changes (eg. weakness, dystonia), and trophic changes (eg. skin or bone atrophy, hair loss, joint contractures). Diagnosis is clinical. Treatment includes but not limited to medications, physical therapy, and sympathetic blockades. CRPS effects children as well as adults. While not everyone with CRPS will find relief from their pain, there are exciting, new options which can be very successful in relieving nerve pain if the underlying peripheral nerve problem can be identified and addressed either with conservative measures or surgery.
THE FOUNDATION
Our CEO & Founder was first diagnosed with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) in February of 2015. After misdiagnosis, almost losing her life four times due to botched surgeries, and severe withdrawals due to many repeated denials of treatments and medications from the Workers Compensation system, her CRPS went from the original injury of a fractured left foot to full body including her intestinal tract and other internal organs. Though every day was a continuous fight whether it was with Work Comp or Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) she never gave up. When she lost both her parents in 2018, she hit rock bottom but with the help and support of her attorney, doctors, family, and friends she decided it was time to make a change and fight!
In May of 2020 she organized a Board of Directors and staff from 8 different states and internationally, who all have the same passion and drive as she does to help other Warriors. Now the CRPS Warriors Foundation is born and still with the support of her attorney, doctors, family, friends, and a great team she can see her dream become a reality! Her belief is no Warrior should ever be turned down for treatments, medications, transportation, or medical equipment just because the insurance companies do not get it. It is time for a change, and she is hoping this foundation is just the beginning for that change!
OUR STORY
CRPS Warriors Foundations has been developed by an amazing team consisting of 5 CRPS Warriors and 9 Non-warriors. Each one of our team members has a designated job to help better serve our CRPS community based on their expertise in the field. We are a diverse group of women and men here to support the CRPS community from children to the elderly.
Our mission is to ensure that each Warrior can receive the resources they need and to help build a stronger awareness for the community with education, financial assistance, and research. The goal is to find a cure for all CRPS Warriors and together we can achieve that goal!

CRPS Warriors Foundation Virtual Convention
Virtual Convention 2021 - Las Vegas, Nevada
Our first CRPS Warriors Foundation Convention will be held virtually in “Las Vegas” September 11 and 12, 2021. We're privileged and excited to host speakers from all walks to include physicians, therapists, patient advocacy, health and wellness, medical cannabis, nutritionist, musical entertainment, and a multitude of vendors including an international booth! This will be live streaming with national and international collaboration, connecting our warriors to resources around the globe.
It takes a village to fight CRPS and we're bringing that village to you!
Our goal is modest and every dollar donated will benefit a warrior directly or help fund professional resource attendance for the convention. No donation is too small.
