Community Evolution hasn't added a story.
As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve, local food producers and the market places that support them are on the frontlines, responding to increased needs and new disruptions every day. The mantra, "We're all in this together" holds especially true for those that already follow a co-operative model and appreciate the value of a collaborative approach.
Community Evolution
Community Evolution has an impressive five-year history of empowering co-operative enterprises to develop, grow and create positive change. During this time, we have partnered with farming communities, native salmon fishers, sugar producers, marketplaces and eco-tourism ventures, here in British Columbia and the wider world.
We are now stepping up our efforts through our COVID-19 Response Plan to enable partners like the Cowichan Valley Co-operative Marketplace (CVCM) to scale up their enterprises to overcome the mounting challenges posed by this pandemic.
Cowichan Valley Co-operative Marketplace
CVCM has been building meaningful connections between local farmers and consumers in the Cowichan region in British Columbia since 2014. They developed Cow-op.ca, one of the first online farmer's markets on Vancouver Island and in BC and are keen on sharing the knowledge they have acquired with other communities.
Join us in supporting CVCM
Community Evolution founder and Board Chair, Paul Zysman, who has personally invested over $1.5 million to support this work around the world, invites you to join him to sustain this resilient co-operative community enterprise during this uncertain time and support a special campaign to raise CAD $10,000.
You can help farmers get their
products onto tables across the Cowichan
Valley.
Make a donationCommunity Evolution is a Canadian registered charity (Charitable Registration Number 859619 298 RR0001), so your donation is tax-deductible within Canada. Funds will provide direct support to the CVCM's Covid-19 Response Project, ensuring that they can keep connecting farmers and producers to consumers. Your gift will provide physical and digital infrastructure expansion for the Cow-op, personal protective equipment for staff and volunteers, health and hygiene trainings, purchase of delivery equipment, business development, and allow our community partner, the CVCM to continue their critical work on southern Vancouver Island. | ![]() ![]() |
If you're able to give today, your gift will promote food security and employment in BC.
