The Cleanest Day of the Year on June 11th is an exciting kick-off event for our Clean Heroes Campaign - Celebrating MP Associates! We are aiming to raise $150,000 by Labour Day 2022 to support 30 people in completing our Employment Readiness Program.

For every $5,000 raised , we can fully support 1 person through our Employment Readiness Program.

Gather your friends, family and colleagues to meet MP Associates and Staff on June 11th at Mission Possible’s Headquarters (648 E. Hastings St.) and together clean up our community. This family-friendly event will include food , refreshments and more than $4,200 worth of prizes ! 

You will also get the opportunity to meet our people and hear first-hand their experiences and the changes in their lives after getting involved with Mission Possible. They are eager to share their successes with you!

This will be a fun and memorable experience for everyone, so you don't want to miss it.

    • We will also have bubbles and a Sidewalk Chalk Instagram Station for everyone to leave inspirational messages of thanks for our community and express your creative side! Come out and enjoy the fun!

Your participation in The Cleanest Day of the Year can help Mission Possible reach our goal of raising $150,000 to support 30 people in starting and finishing our Employment Readiness Program. This program provides workshops, ongoing skills training, regular & supportive 1:1 coaching sessions, and 6+ months of meaningful work opportunities.

Empowerment Through Opportunity

Mission Possible supports individuals challenged with poverty to navigate their journey to a sustainable livelihood. We do this by supporting individuals with employment training and individual coaching in our Employment Readiness Program, as well as offering supportive, transitional work opportunities in our social enterprises.

Since 1992 Mission Possible has walked alongside people challenged by homelessness, poverty, trauma and mental illness. Through its Employment Readiness Program and social enterprises, Mission Possible is transforming lives by helping people experience a renewed sense of dignity and purpose through meaningful work.

Some of our recent accomplishments this past year include:

• Conducting 46 Co-Ed Information Sessions with more than 230 DTES community members in attendance
• Creating an Employment Readiness Program Women’s Track and conducting 31 Information Sessions to 35 DTES women
• Moving 93 people into Transitional Employment via our Co-Ed and Women’s Track Employment Readiness Program
• Graduating 46 people from our Co-Ed and Women’s Track Employment Readiness Program
• Successfully transitioning 18 people from Transitional Employment in our Employment Readiness Program to permanent full-time or part-time work outside of Mission Possible
• Providing more than 18,900 meals to DTES residents through our Saturday morning Power Breakfast program
• Ridding Vancouver’s city streets of 41,200+ needles
