What’s Coming at the Capitol?
A Legislative Preview with Senator Clarke Tucker
On Tuesday, January 7, join Arkansas State Senator Clarke Tucker—one of Arkansas’s most respected Democratic legislators—for a forward-looking discussion on the upcoming session of the Arkansas legislature. With his deep policy knowledge, bipartisan approach, and personal perspective honed over years of service, Senator Tucker will help us understand what’s on the horizon at the Capitol and how the legislative “sausage” really gets made.
Senator Tucker has built a reputation for focusing on education, health care, and community-driven solutions. His experience ranges from serving in the Arkansas House of Representatives to his current role in the Senate. He is widely regarded as a thoughtful, accessible leader committed to making Arkansas a better place for all its residents. With the session set to begin on January 14, this talk offers a timely and candid glimpse into the key issues, debates, and policy priorities likely to shape the 2025 legislative agenda.
This engaging conversation is part of the Arkansas Times lecture series, which features prominent Arkansas voices in politics, policy, and journalism. Senator Tucker’s insights will draw on his legislative service, his understanding of the policymaking process, and his commitment to working across the aisle.
