Sunrise February 21, 1955 – Sunset April 12, 2015
Robert Edmand Young aka “Berto, Rob, Bob” died unexpectedly in his home on April 12th 2015. He was 60.
Robert was born February 21st, 1955 in Belize City, Belize to his Parents Walter Edmand Young (decease) and Hallie Dorothy Young. Robert attended St. Mary’s Primary School in Belize until the age of 17, at which time he left Belize to live in Los Angeles, California with his aunt Brenda Chester. It was during this time that he became a self-taught self-employed carpenter and construction worker.
Robert worked hard and tirelessly for his clients, which often lead to them considering him more family than a hired contractor.
In 1982, Robert ventured out and moved to Las Vegas where he spent several years before moving back to LA; yet never seeming to leave his attachment to Vegas in his rear view. Therefore, Robert spent his remaining years traveling back and forth between his family in LA and the one he became a part of in Vegas.
Robert is survived by his brothers Frank Young-Henkis, Mark Young-Trapp; preceded in death by his brother Walter Edmand Young Jr; his sisters Kathleen (Kay) Carcamo, Patricia Bainton; Colleen Young; Judith Young-Panton; Janett Young-Leslie; Zahara (Zarah) Green; Preceded in death by sisters Laverne Young, Marie Young, and Brenda Young.
His children Eric Young, Robert Young Jr; Charles Young, Antoinette (Nette) Stewart; preceded him in death Sylvanna Lewis. His Grandchildren Téa Sierra Young, Kevyonna Berry; Jhaydin Young; Zariah Young; DeJonette, Dijon, Tajonae Berry; Courtinae and Aziah Stewart. Great grandson DaMari Berry.
Robert is also survived by a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. One of which was also his best friend, Mr. Michael Sealy.
