As many of you know I got a new job recently. At my new job an employee approached me about a cat problem by her house. She has opened up her garage area to the cats and put an old recliner in there. I gave her some bagged and canned food. There ... More ...

UPDATE!! 10/26/14. Five cats were trapped this weekend. Since they are more scared than feral I want to do additional vetting to test them for FIV/Felv so I can better assess the situation from there. That brings the cost to $65 a cat plus while I am there I would like to add things like flea treatment and wormer if I can.

HELP Trudy's Feral Cat Project fix a colony of feral cats! As many of you know I got a new job recently. At my new job an employee approached me about a cat problem by her house. She has opened up her garage area to the cats and put an old recliner in there. I gave her some bagged and canned food. There appears to be at least 7-9 cats there mostly older kittens from a mom who had kittens this Spring. I offered to trap, neuter, return the cats and give her more food. I have an appointment reserved for 5 cats on October 27, 2014 which will cost $45 per cat. The ear is tipped and a rabies vax is given. This is the most discounted rate I could find that had availability and this was the earliest appointment despite calling a week ago (end of Sept)! The fix for 5 cats to start is $225 for all of them then I would like to leave some extra for food for the homeowner and see where we stand with any remaining cats. I may do another round of trapping after I fix the first 5.
