Rainey is 11 yrs old and has a severe neurologic disorder called Spinocerebellar Ataxia. This is an irreversible and incurable disease that affects her coordination and muscle tone. In 2011 she was a normal functioning 8 year old. Today she can no longer walk, talk, get dressed, or eat by herself. She simply can no longer do normal daily activities of any kind without assistance. She requires 24/7 care, and one parent must always be home. She is fully aware of her situation as this disease does not affect her mind. Rainey cannot go to school because she gets too tired and just cannot do the work. We try to take her as many places as possible to keep her social and happy.

We have been told by her doctor that she has a shortened lifespan, and he has referred her to Make A Wish. This disease has progressed very rapidly.

We are appealing to you for help with our medical and living expenses as well as fulfilling Rainey's wishes. Since her care requires one full time parent's attention, we have given up an income to provide her care. We have taken out personal loans to pay medical bills, living expenses and to keep her happy.

We are trying to make the remainder of Rainey's life as comfortable as possible. We have tried to do this on our own for the last 3 years. Today, we are asking for your help. We have two other children, and this is a very difficult time for all of us.

Please help us with our financial needs so we can focus 100% on Rainey. Thank you and God bless you.
