Elizabeth Ortegel hasn't added a story.
We need your help!! Gidget is a sweet baby girl who needs our help for a fresh new start at a new life. Gidget has just been saved and released this week to Pittie in Pink animal rescue and deseparatly needs our help to raise money for her bills.
Her story is sad, but has a happy ending. I met Giget on my daily walks around my neighborhood with my dogs, Jacob, a black German Shepard, and Lilly, a Pit/ Rat Terrior mix. Everyday we would walk pass this house and there she would be just barking away on a chain in her yard. No fence to run free, just chained up. My heart bleed for her every time we walked by her. She was so full of life & you could tell she just wanted to play and run!!!
One day on our walk, Gidget somehow got off her chain and ran up to us, I thought she wanted to play, but then they started to fight with Jacob. I pulled my German Shepard back and used my leg to push Gidget back. Unfortunatley, my leg got in the way and she accidently bit me. As soon as she did, I could tell she knew she did wrong and she ran back into her yard with her tail between her leg. After getting my dogs home and letting the owners know that she accidently bit me, I was off to the ER because the owner could not provide proof she was up to date on her shots. At the ER I had to report poor Gidget and the accident. Animal control had to make sure the owners were properly taking care of Gidget.
A few days later I went and checked on Gidget and the family and found out the owner had let animal control take her and had know intensions of getting her back! I told the owners that if they did not go get her in 10 days animal control would have to put her down! They acted like it had to be done. That's when I called my friend Laura Love and asked for help from her Pittie in Pink Rescue. She immediately called animal control and was able to get Gidget released to her resuce!!
Gidget is as sweet as can be, and with the propering training, love and attention, she will be a great companion for life!!
Now that Gidget has been given a second chance at life, Pittie in Pink and I are asking for any donations to get her in peak shape! We need your help to raise money to cover for her training and vet bills. We found that she can only use 3 of her 4 legs :( We can't be sure until we get her to a vet what is wrong with one of her back legs. Please give what you can so we can help give Gidget the life she was suppose to have!!! Any and all donations are apprecited. Please share this to help Gidget!!!! Thank you for your time and donations in advance.
