LADY and  FRECKLES need dog food assistance.

A 70 years old local man found LADY and FRECKLES emaciated and very thirsty in 102 degrees of heat at the Kern County Landfills, Mojave, CA,  in January 2014.

The two intact female dogs  were dumped at the Kern County Landfills (dumpster) along with other dogs. They were only two that survived. Other smaller dogs died in the heat.

The dumpster is at 400 Silver Queen RdMojave, CA 93501. Folks dump their pets their thinking their pets would survive eating garbage from the dumpster. It's 100-105 degrees in Mojave in summer.

He took them home and nursed them. They survived and thrived.

Mr. Eddie B. takes his own trash to the dumpster once per week. He lives a few miles from the dumpster. He often finds dead dogs, cats. They died due the heat without water to drink. All his dogs (different ages) are from the dumpster. He said "I cannot leave them there to die".

Basic Needs Foundation, Inc. is paying for the spaying and neutering of these two dogs on 7/9/14 at a vet clinic in his town.

He tries to find them a home to no avail. Pits have a hard time to find homes.

These two dogs and his other rescues may outlive him. We don't know, but we are looking for a "village" who can help him with dog food for five years! Any amount of donation counts.

Please be Mr. Eddie B's "village" and help him with dog food assistance. He & his wife are on a fix income.
