Harriet was on death row at the MACC until early March when her life was saved! She went to a temporary foster home where the foster mom, Janis Cortese-Tollis was an expert at quarenteen procedures which was a very good thing as Harriet was a very sick little girl. Little did we know but she had mycoplasma as well as canine influenza. She needed to be immediately quarenteened for 30 days and the vet tech assigned to her could not treat any other animals; that's how contagious she was. Poor Harriet could hardly breathe and was miserable. Slowly, she regained her strength and after a month she was able to go back to her foster home. The ultimate vet bill was $3400 from this ordeal!! Harriet has since moved to her forever home where she is loved and cherished but this family is still trying to pay Harriet's vet bills which are enormous!  Her teeth are so infected it is affecting her health and surgery to remove them is scheduled for tomorrow! This will be an additional $800 including initial exam and blood work
