She worked hard, giving it her all during the selection camps, and making the cut to represent Team BC in U16 Softball at the 2014 North American Indigenous Games in Regina this summer. Now the 14-year-old McRoberts high school student and Richmond Islanders softball player needs your help to raise $310 by May 13th.

Annie and her family are looking for awesome sponsors who believe in the importance of economic access to sports. The high cost of competition can mean the difference between playing or forfeiting, which is why Annie and her family are hoping you can help her participate in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Annie is a first-baseman and pitcher for the Richmond Islanders 2000A softball team, and a multi-sport athelete who plays volleyball and basketball for McRoberts Secondary School. She loves sports and her family gratefully acknowledges the support of KidSportBC-Richmond, the Richmond Girls Softball Association and McRoberts Secondary for giving her the chance to excel locally.

Annie is Ojibwa from her father's side (Wasauksing First Nations). She was recently featured in a story about Aboriginal art appearing in the Richmond News

The chance to represent Team BC at the national level as a proud Aboriginal athlete at the 2014 North American Indigenous Games would be an amazing experience for this young softball player. The fee to participate and secure her spot on Team BC is due mid-May. Will you be a sponsor and help her reach her goal of raising $310 by May 13th?
