JIMMY'S STORY: Jimmy is a 3 year-old Yorkshire Terrier. Jimmy was born and held in captivity for his entire life as part of a mass-breeding facility in Jackson, MS. When the owner of the facility passed away, the remaining family members wanted nothing to do with the breeding facility or the owner's dogs. As a result, all of the Yorkshire terriers, Jimmy's entire family, were executed - shot and killed by the breeder's family. Jimmy, the sole surviving Yorkie from the facility, was spared from immediate death only to be subject to physical abuse - his body beaten and his head and face crushed as a result of being kicked repeatedly and trampled by the breeders family. His body weak and broken, Jimmy was abandoned by the family members and left to die alone.

HOPE FOR JIMMY: A private party discovered Jimmy, who has survived for 3 months on his own but suffering greatly from lack of medical attention and basic healthcare. They worked to retrieve Jimmy as part of a rescue effort to save his life. Affinity Retreat was contacted to assist with the repair and rehabilitation efforts to save Jimmy and get him on the path to finding a new and loving family. Affinity Retreat is providing fostering services with 24/7 on-site care for Jimmy during the critical time of his recovery. We have partnered with All Animal Clinic to assess and develop the plan to repair Jimmy's wounds. Working with Dr. Fraizer, he has determined that Jimmy's jaw is broken and had additional extensive damage resulting in lack of medical attention for nearly 3 months. Dr. Fraizer will harvest bone from Jimmy's hip and use steel plates surgically implanted to repair the damaged jaw. To prepare for the surgery, Jimmy has been placed on a special diet and a heavy regimen of antibiotics to eliminate any infection and get him in the best health possible for an effective surgery. Post-surgery, Jimmy will continue to recover under the foster care of Affinity Retreat with continued partnership with Dr. Fraizer and the staff of All Animal Clinic. Upon determining Jimmy's complete physical recovery and a healthy socialization and behavioral assessment, he will be available for adoption and a chance to start a brand new life.

JIMMY'S CHANCE FOR NEW LIFE: Affinity Retreat is providing all of their services for fostering and ongoing care as no cost. Dr. Fraizer and the wonderful team at All Animal Clinic are offsetting the extensive medical costs for Jimmy's recovery and reducing the costs for surgery and ongoing medical attention down to the bare minimum costs of the essential supplies and materials needed. The overall cost to give Jimmy the chance he needs for a new life is approximately $2000. We need assistance from the great animal-loving community of the Pine Belt to assist with the costs of Jimmy's recovery. Donations can be made to All Animal Clinic by contact the staff their by phone (601-268-8880) and reference the Affinity Retreat account for Jimmy as well as online via a FundRazr account dedicated for Jimmy's costs.

Jimmy's road to recovery and a new chance at life is going to be very long and take much time to travel. Please consider making the journey with Jimmy and provide your support, donations, and love.
