Marlene Poches hasn't added a story.
In support of Adrian Zentarski (Saint Edwards HS Rugby, Cleveland Rovers Rugby, Mudboggers Rugby, OSU Rugby, Scioto Valley/Columbus Rugby and SVELTS Rugby in Ohio) his rugby family has established this fundraiser to assist him and his four beautiful children after the sudden death of their wife and mom, Jen Zentarski.
Jen was a vibrant and beautiful person, inside and out. She was also a very supportive, enthusiastic, and well-loved rugby wife. She never met a stranger, only friends in the making. Jen unexpectedly passed away on March 17, 2014 due to a complication during surgery. She had just recently given birth to their fourth child, a baby girl, two weeks earlier. The funeral was held on March 22, 2014.
Presently, Adrian is not only faced with the loss of his beautiful young wife of less than five years, but also with the reality of raising four children on his own; a 13-year-old son, 3-year-old twins (1 boy and 1 girl); and a newborn baby girl.
As fellow rugby players and wives, I am asking you to consider helping this young family. My husband, Greg Poches (former Ohio University Rugby, Scioto Valley Rugby, Louisville Rugby, Chattanooga Rugby, WORMS coach, SVELTS Rugby player, and Rugby Oregon youth coach), and I know how strong the support is amongst this nationwide family of ruggers.
Therefore, we are turning to our greatest resource of friends, met and unmet, with this request for help. It seems that no matter where you travel across the globe, the one group you can always count on to help you out is the closest rugby club. It is a unique society of gentlemen and women that has no equal.
If you can, please help out the Zentarski Family by making a donation to this fund to help offset the financial difficulties they are going to be faced with over the next few years. I have set the goal for this fundraiser at $50,000 - which is approximately the average salary of a resident Ohioan. Given that the Zentarski Family has gained one member, but tragically lost another, I thought this was a logical goal to strive for.
Thank you so much,
Marlene Poches (Rugby wife in Seattle, WA)
P.S. Every dollar raised will go directly to Adrian and his
children. If you would like to verify that this fundraiser is
