I received a call late in the evening of December 11th that a neighbor of a friend had fell on her 4 month old puppy and broke her leg and that her bone was sticking through the skin. Then they proceed to tell me that it happened 9 DAYS PRIOR, on December 2nd !!!! The infection had blown a hole through Flowers skin and had eaten her bone through and through. I immediately had the lady take her to the ER vet where they determined that an amputation was needed. She was put on Keflex and Tramadol and sent home. The next day she went to MY vet. My vet said there is a SMALL CHANCE that they may be able to pin her tiny leg instead of her losing it! The estimate is between $900-$1000 just depending on what happens when they open her up. And if they pin it instead of amputate it. She is a 4 month old tiny bird dog mix with a lot of life ahead of her to be lived! Please help me raise the funds for her surgery to get her out of pain as soon as possible. Thank you to everyone caring, sharing, worrying and donating. It takes a village and we are thankful for each and every supporter no matter how tiny the amount! If you would prefer to donate directly to the vet, that would be great as well!
