Hi Everyone,

I’m about to head off to Nepal for a few months to teach English and work with an organization called Welcome to My Yard. It is a small not-for-profit group, which provide grass roots programs for local street children in the capital of Nepal, Kathmandu.

Welcome to My Yard provides a range of community based programs, which are aimed at giving the children of Kathmandu practical skills and education. The English workshops are run in the street community and focus on delivering basic practical English skills in a non-formal way.

I am running a stall a local market in Melbourne to sell some old clothes and other goods, but for those of you who can’t make it, I have set up this page as a way of donating if you are able. I need to raise around $800, so please spread the word.

Check out the Welcome to My Yard website at www.welcometomyyard.com to see the fantastic work that is being done in Nepal, and keep an eye out on Facebook while I’m away, as I will try and keep a blog!

Cheers

Hannah
