Richie was diagnosed with brain cancer in November of 2012. 2 years before at a routine optometrist visit, the doctor found a blind spot that needed to be tested. It was discovered that Richie had a brain tumor, but it appeared benign. A little less than 2 years later, Richie started to get severe headaches and got to the point he couldn't go to school. He went to the doctor and found that his head was filling with water and the tumor was more active. He had to have emergency surgery on his mom's birthday to remove the tumor and reduce the swelling. All seemed well until the pathology test came back. Richie was diagnosed with brain cancer.

Since then, he has been undergoing radiation and chemotherapy. The surgery and treatment also causes seizures from time to time, putting him on multiple medications for stability.

Richie is an amazing spirit, and an extremely inspirational person. He doesn't go a day without smiling and has truly stayed positive through this whole experience. But he can't cover his medical expenses alone. Any and all help is appreciated. Thank you.
