Danica is an 11 year old girl who was recently diagnosed with stage IV spinal cancer around November of last year 2012. Although she's been very brave and strong with the whole situation, her condition recently got worse, and she's been spending the last couple of days in the PICU of a hospital in the Philippines. Her radiation therapy would make a huge difference in her battle against cancer, but it's unfortunately too expensive for her parents to afford because they don't have health insurance. However, her dad hasn't lost hope. He's been spending sleepless nights in the hospital lobby, making countless phone calls to friends and family for any sort of help. It's a sad reality, but "wealth really is health" in the Philippines.

As of right now, Danica is unable to sit or walk and was recently put on a ventilator because the tumor affected nerves in her spinal cord that help her breathe. She wants to go back to school and graduate with her 6th grade class, but her current condition won't allow her. However, she hasn't lost hope and is fighting for her life! I think almost everyone of you knows or has a child, a sibling, or a cousin around the same age as Danica. It isn't fair for children her age to go through something like this. But if you could look deep into your heart and get in touch with that little soft spot, you can give Danica that fighting chance! Hope is still there...

Here, I would just like to appreciate you all for taking a few moments to stick with me and read all about this. I know you hear about these charity cases a lot, and to be honest, I'm not really expecting all of you to donate something. But it would mean the whole world to me and more if you could at least share this story with your friends and family. I admit, It isn't one that's fun to share, but I think it's one that needs to be told...

Thank you for your time and God bless you all!
