Many of you have often seen me posts about my cousin Frank, who I am so very proud of. Frank is blind. He has persevered through many challenges in life to create a beautiful family and build a non-profit called Water Without Borders. Most people do not know that over 4,000 children die daily from unsafe drinking water around the world. Frank has dedicated his life to not only to bring about awareness but to also provide long term sustainable water solutions to those in need. His efforts alone have save saved thousands of lives. You can get more information on his organization at www.waterwithout borders.net

Last year Frank became very sick and was eventually diagnosed with pancreatic cancer at age 43. Shortly after the holidays Frank, his wife Kelly and son Wayne traveled to Boston so that Frank could have an extremely complicated surgery call the Whipple Procedure. Last Tuesday Frank received the results of the surgical biopsies and was confirmed that he is in Stage 2 Pancreatic Cancer. As if this news was not devastating enough, they also found suspicious nodes on his lungs. They plan on doing further tests to see if the cancer has spread throughout his body. Physically exhausted and mentally drained Frank returned home to NY from Boston on Tuesday to be with his family and to plan for the next steps of his treatment - chemo. Saturday while he, Kelly and Wayne were out to lunch a fire broke out in their home. Their home – destroyed. Their precious cats (Sasha who they have had for 15 yrs and Sampson the new kitten they had just gotten Wayne) – perished in the fire. Their memories (photos) – gone in an instant. Everything - gone. Why this family is being tested the way they are is beyond anyone’s imagination. They are all so strong and keep moving forward – never backward. Their resolve amazes me.

I see many people on here asking for help to support those in need. If ever there was a family in need it is this family. Between Franks health, medical bills, travel expenses and now this fire – Frank and Kelly cannot even see past the moment without feeling completely overwhelmed and hopeless. PLEASE join me in not only praying for them to stay strong, but also in helping to relieve them of the one burden we can relieve them of – financial. As Frank would say “Making a difference one drop at a time” well we can make a difference – one dollar at a time. Please help. Together we can take away this one burden to allow them to focus on health and family which is something they so desperately need to do. Thank you everyone.
