Prayers, light, love, and good juju are more than welcome as Mason and his family continue down a very long and trying road in pursuit of relief, peace for Mason, and a CURE. Suffering from a mysterious illness from his first month in this world, Mason has been in and out of hospitals his entire life and continues to struggle through ongoing testing and surgeries. After months of not having answers, Mason was diagnosed with Wiskott Aldrich Syndrome (WAS). WAS is a severe disease which affects the immune system and platelets. It is VERY rare, only affecting 1-4 in a million people. Many years ago, the disease was fatal, but because of bone marrow transplants, the chances of survival are much higher. Mason was blessed with a donor match so we now wait and pray the bone marrow transplant will be a success. Fingers are crossed, this is the cure his little body needs. While hospitalized for months, missing holidays and family events, Mason's family remains positive and takes the good days with the bad. They continue to sacrifice and support him in the most unbelievable ways, at all costs. Hopes are high they will soon have this sweet baby home for a long-overdue reunion with his 3 siblings.
